Subhadeep Das Chowdhury

Subhadeep Das Chowdhury, a singer, composer, and performer hailing from Kolkata, came into the limelight as he clinched the second-runner-up position on the singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’ season 14. However, his journey to fame began much earlier, when he showcased his talent on India's beloved reality show, ‘Indian Idol’ during its 11th season in 2019. 

His melodious voice and classical singing skills impressed audiences, earning him a spot among the top 15 contestants.  Drawing inspiration from legendary singers such as Mohammad Rafi and Arijit Singh, Subhadeep's performances resonated deeply with fans across the nation. 

Before his stint in ‘Indian Idol’, Subhadeep was already deeply involved in the world of music, serving as a music trainer in Kolkata. His passion for teaching and performing classical music led him to establish the ‘Surangan Music Academy,’ where he imparts his expertise to aspiring musicians, nurturing talent from basic to advanced levels

Throughout his illustrious career, Subhadeep has garnered numerous accolades and achievements. In 2017, he clinched the top spot in the prestigious ‘Classical Voice of India’ competition,  and also achieved the title of ‘Classical Voice of Kolkata’ in 2017, further establishing his status in the classical music community. 

Subsequently, he showcased his talent on platforms such as Zee TV's ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa,’ where he earned a silver medal in 2018.

Subhadeep's versatility as an artist is further highlighted by his songwriting skills, with compositions like ‘Mitti Meri Jaan Hai’ displaying his lyrical skills. 

Subhadeep continues to charm audiences with his soulful performances and mesmerizing voice.
